I am interested to know where you guys obtained your instruments and how close they are to the originals as used by The Beatles. In particular, Jim, your Rickenbacker 325. I asked you briefly in the Cavern but it was very busy and no time for a Q & A !
I had assumed (wrongly it seems) that copies of Lennon's famous and rare solid-bodied guitar would be easily available. I have since found out that apart from the few originals produced in 1958, Rickenbacker produced only 1,000 special John Lennon editions in 1990 - and that was that. Or am I wrong ? Checking ebay I have seen one with a starting bid of $3,000 !
